Iranian film which got an Oscar nomination as the Best Foreign Language Film. Directed by Majid Majidi. As long as the mother was sick, Ali (Amir Farrokh Hashemian) temporarily replaced his mother's shopping, but the day was a little different, besides buying daily necessities such as bread and vegetables, the 9-year-old boy also brought a pair of shoes belonging to his younger sister Zahra (Bahare Seddiqi ) To be repaired, unfortunately, when Ali was busy shopping, he accidentally removed the shoes.
Zahra was clearly sad because her sister had removed the only shoes she would use for school the next day, but for fear of being scolded by their father (Mohammad Amir Naji), moreover they knew that the father did not have money to be able to buy new shoes, Ali and Zahra agrees to keep this little secret a secret. So how can Zahra go to school without her shoes? can Ali find his sister's shoes again?
A pride in watching Iranian films. A spectacle that I rarely find around us. Iranian films are different from most Hollywood. Iranian films seem to have more weight in terms of story and attitude. One of them is in this film. A very moving film. When I was confronted with a poor family story in which there were noble children.
Very touching and magical. Even though the story is only about lost shoes, Majid Majidi made the simple story a spectacle of dramatic adventures. The cinematography is also high class making this film dense without gaps. Plus stunning acting from the cast of Ali and Zahra. The running scene became something interesting from this film.
Besides drama, this film still includes elements of comedy in this film. The spontaneous cuteness in this film is presented as not excessive, but just right. One of the highlights of a film is the ending. This film has an exciting and touching ending. This is where patience and human responsibility are tested. The kindness of children from heaven that became this story is so dramatic. Highly recommended films are watched with family or watched together in class.
