The film begins with an explanation of an abandoned flour mill. The factory was large and made a lot of profit for the owner and his family. But the famine made the factory go bankrupt and the owner fell into poverty. In a state of despair, he finally asked for help from the spirits inhabiting the lake near the factory, Lake Hallow. The subtle spirit is willing to help, but the factory owner must sacrifice the person he loves the most as a sacrifice. In order for his family not to starve, the factory owner agreed and gave up his eldest son to be brought by the lake-dwelling spirit to the bottom of the lake. The guardian of the lake kept his promise. The owner of the flour mill returned to wealth and never fell into poverty again.

Then the next scene appeared where a mother named Julia visited her parents' house, with her son Niko. They were on their way to their parents' house. From there they will continue their journey to a village, where Julia used to spend his childhood. There are companies that will set up dams on lakes in the village and Julia wants to help local groups fight for the naturalness of the lake, so it will not be damaged. Niko was eager to swim in the lake, but her grandmother banned her and asked Julia to keep her child from going there. Daddy also tried to persuade Julia to refuse the job offer and not have to visit the lake, but Julia refused.

Julia wasn't too familiar with her parents and her marriage was also in trouble. He only came briefly to visit his parents, then immediately drove back to the village. He brought a cardboard box containing his old comics first and Niko found a photo of his grandparents when he was young in it.

Towards evening, Julia and Niko arrived in the village and met Elias who turned out to be the innkeeper where they would be staying temporarily. The inn was a building that was quite old and very quiet, Elias said that there were very few people who came to visit the village.

At the inn, Julia heard strange noises and drops of water everywhere. Everything he saw always looked soaked. But soon it will dry out. Like a fantasy. Julia then followed the origin of the sound and found an old hallway that led to carrying land. The hallway is dark and creepy. There were lots of droplets everywhere and it seemed like he heard suspicious voices in the hallway, fearing Julia had decided to go back upstairs.

Because it seemed that the project would last a long time, Julia decided to look for a house. When visiting the house where he lived as a child, Julia met a man who seemed to occupy the house. To be sure, the man did not agree with the construction of the dam that Julia and his group were doing. According to him the lake should not be disturbed and damaged by erecting a dam. Julia ignored him. He just wanted to know if he could occupy his house again, which happened to be very close to the lake. Soon, his father followed Julia to the village. "You shouldn't need to come here, so you don't have to sacrifice much," he said.

From the villagers, Julia began to hear a folk legend about the inhabitants of the Hallow lakes who always asked for their first son's sacrifice in exchange for wealth. At first, Julia wasn't very interested, but then she experienced a lot of weirdness. Even Niko was interrupted, so she had to be hospitalized. Julia woke up and realized she was in the hospital where Niko was being treated. In his eyesight, Niko's bed was submerged in water and the hospital roof leaked.

When he tried to move. Niko, his father came and the water leaked stopped. Julia decided to find out how to stop this weirdness. He went to Elias's in but he was not there and the place was locked. Julia forced the door open and reentered the creepy secret passage. He found many photos on the wall. Photos of women on the lake. The photos seem to be old.

Julia didn't realize that Elias saw the door to his house open and caught Julia inside. Julia was shocked and fell down to hurt her hand. Elias then helps treat his wound and asks why he broke in like that. Julia reasoned that she had come to pick up her lost notebook. Elias knew that Julia was curious about what Elias was investigating on the lake. About the legend of the inhabitants of Lake Hallow.

Elias told of the ghosts of the guardian of Lake Hollow who were like women. The story of the flour mill owner who became rich after sacrificing his eldest son. It is a folk legend in the village that is believed by most of the population. Julia was suspicious that some of the villagers wanted to threaten her and her child. They wanted to hurt Niko by using the Hallow Lake legend as away. Julia decided that she had to leave the village immediately so they stopped bothering Niko.

He immediately went home to take care of his belongings. He decided to leave the village as soon as possible. Unintentionally, Julia found a box that was taken from her parents' house before they went to the village first. There are photos of children as well as photos of him. In the photo, Julia saw a boy who was always near his father. There is also a picture of the boy with his mother. That's when Julia recalled the bad memories of her childhood. He remembered that the boy was his brother, named Juhani. That it turned out that he was not an only child as he had always thought.

He has an older brother. Inadvertently, when he was a child, he saw his father sacrificing his brother to the guardian of Lake Hallow. His father sank his brother and surrendered his body to a woman who saw from the middle of the lake. The woman stood there screaming and receiving Juhani's body into his arms. Julia cried at the thought of how her father could do that, sacrificing his own eldest son. He thought that his father would now sacrifice Niko next, because. Niko is Julia's eldest son. He then called the clinic where Niko was treated and told Niko to be kept tighter and kept away from his father because maybe his father intended to harm Niko. But it turns out that the one who picked up the phone was his own father. He asks where is Julia.

Julia, who was suspicious, immediately cleared her belongings and left for the clinic. But the door to his house was suddenly closed and flooded with water. Julia could not get out of the house because it was blocked by water. But he managed to escape from the window. Arriving at the hospital, Niko is gone. He was taken away by his grandfather, who promised to take him to learn to swim in the lake. Julia then called Niko's cellphone and asked where she was, then Julia told her to run away from her grandfather.

Elias saw Julia searching for Niko in the crowd. He deliberately misled Julia and gave false information about where Niko was while he himself brought Niko back to his grandfather. Julia saw Niko getting into his father's car. Julia got into her car to catch up. Elias had a chance to block and said that Julia was not disturbing because his father knew what he was doing. Julia continued to pursue them. Niko and his grandfather stopped briefly at home to pick up some items and Julia caught up with him. He saw Niko and his grandfather standing on the edge of the lake. Frantically Julia hit her father with wood and fell into the lake, Niko accidentally fell but accidentally. Julia managed to save her.

Julia and Niko fled between the grass to hide from her father. His father searched while calling Julia, telling him to return Niko. Saying how difficult it is to live without money and that Julia must understand that all the firstborn sons in their family must be sacrificed to the guardians of Lake Hallow. Julia and Niko managed to get on a boat and intend to run away. But his father managed to pull the boat and they all plunged into the lake. His father managed to pull Niko's hand and bring it to the bottom of the lake.

Suddenly a woman wearing a long shawl covered her face appeared, from the bottom of the lake. The woman then let go of Niko's hand from her grandfather's grasp, took Niko then handed her back to Julia who looked in wonder in the water. Julia takes Niko to the surface and tells her to wait by the lake, while she swims back to the bottom of the lake to save her father.

His father then told about their true past. His mother and father could never get along while living in the village, so they decided to move from there. The reason is that Juhani, Julia's brother, died there. One day, Julia and Juhani were playing ball on the edge of the lake, and the ball entered the lake. Julia tried to take the ball but fell. Juhani tried to help Julia but Julia kicked him accidentally until Juhani fainted and sank. He was killed when his father lifted him from the lake. The woman Julia saw at the time was her own mother, who cried to see the body of her son, not the guardian of Lake Hallow. Since then, her mother has been immersed in a tale about the guardian of Lake Hollow and her father has covered up the secret of how Julia accidentally made Juhani die.

His father kept all of this a secret from Julia because he did not want Julia to feel guilty when he found out that it was he who caused Juhani's death, his brother. Not the guardian spirit of Lake Hollow, like the legend that has been circulating.
