Full Story of Isabelle movie (2019)

The film directed by director Rob Heydon from a script written by Donald Martin revolves around the couple Kane, Matt (Adam Brody) and Larissa (Amanda Crew) who have just moved to their beautiful new home. They are neighbors to Ann Selway (Sheila McCarthy) with her mute and paralyzed daughter, Isabelle (Zoe Belkin).

Matt-Larissa's happiness towards the birth of their first child was taken away when Larissa was bleeding and her baby was not saved. Larissa's sadness led to blaming Matt. Especially after the death of her baby, Larissa began to hear the baby crying and glaring at her baby crying in the box where she lay. In fact, Larissa cradles a teddy bear prepared to decorate her baby's room.

Worrying about his wife's condition, Matt brings Larissa to the therapist. Unfortunately, Larissa's mental condition worsened because Isabelle kept watching Larissa's movements from her bedroom window all day. Even Larissa also felt someone was sneaking into her house. Later Larissa realized that Isabelle had entered her house, even lying in bed beside Matt.

Matt certainly didn't believe because Isabelle was paralyzed and he always sat in the window in the attic of his room. Moreover, only Larissa heard the sound of crying babies and smelled bad smell. Matt did not hear, see, or smell everything Larissa said. Matt tried to be patient with Larissa.

Aware of the medical help never going to make Larissa's condition improve, Matt began to think of spiritual help from Father Lopez (Dayo Ade) who convinced Matt that Larissa was possessed because Larissa had died for a minute due to eclampsia (attacks in the form of seizures or coma in pregnant women) and claimed to see a creature pulled him into the fire when he died.

Matt, who had previously asked Father Lopez for help, then changed his mind and chose to contact his brother-in-law, Jessica (Krista Bridges) who brought Larissa to meet Pedro (Michael Miranda), a spiritual adviser who helped Larissa give up the baby's death. Larissa was also warned by Pedro that there were spirits who wanted to possess him because when Larissa died he had passed through the gates of death, thus attracting spirits to target Larissa. Although feeling better, sadness due to losing her baby made Larissa not have the spirit of life. The situation got worse when Isabelle appeared in her room and made Larissa very scared. Isabelle could suddenly disappear. The peak of Larissa caught Isabelle wearing Larissa's wedding dress when she married Matt. When the frightened Larissa shot Isabelle,

When Matt comes home and finds Larissa in shock, he is forced to meet Ann to warn Isabelle not to lurk Larissa to frighten him. Not getting an answer when he knocked on the door of the house, Matt decided to break in. While continuing to call Ann, Matt climbed into the attic. Matt immediately smelled foul but continued to enter Isabelle's room. In the room, Matt is surprised to find Isabelle's body. Matt immediately contacted the police. Matt then returned to his house and was completely unaware that Isabelle's spirit had taken over Larissa's body, while the original Larissa replaced Isabelle sitting in her wheelchair by the window.

Soon, Matt saw Ann come home and immediately called the police who were indeed being sought because Isabelle's body was found in a dependent position. Isabelle was clearly killed, not die naturally. Matt was very surprised when the police told him that Matt must have been mistaken because Ann's body had just been found in his car. At that moment Matt realized that the one with him was not Larissa, but Isabelle's spirit who then tried to attack Matt.

Meanwhile, the soul Ann who deliberately committed suicide to accompany Isabelle thought her daughter was still haunting the room. Both the spirits Ann and Larissa were both surprised. Ann apologized to Larissa because Isabelle had sabotaged her body.

Previously, Isabelle was known to have died because she was sacrificed in a ritual to Satan. When Isabelle's death coincided with Matt-Larissa's move day and their baby also died because of Isabelle. Ann, who regretted, could only punish himself by injuring both of his palms, realizing that his prayers could not change things. Isabelle had already turned into a curious spirit.

Matt managed to escape Isabelle's spirit and found Larissa in a wheelchair. Remembering Pedro's words that had been met by Matt without Larissa's presence, Matt was forced to strangle Larissa to return Larissa to the gates of death. He kept asking Larissa to choose life and not to follow their dead baby. Matt's action was blocked by the police who had stormed into Isabelle's room. The scene then changes to Larissa who has eclampsia in the delivery room. The doctor tells Matt that Larissa has died for a minute. The next scene shows Matt and Larissa taking their baby home. When going to enter the house, Larissa could see the spirit of Isabelle who lurked them from the window of her room.

This film successfully built a gripping atmosphere since the first minute. The chirping singing accompanied by the sound of terrible breathing, the dark screen, the doorknob in the half-open The music simply tells the audience that the film is a horror genre; but for the horror category, this film is clearly a depressive horror film. The audience was brought into the depression that Larissa felt when she lost her baby and continuedforhear the cries of her child and saw her in the box. The audience is increasingly made depressed with the tense and of the startling sound of music. Music arrangement clearly gives a big contribution to building a gripping atmosphere in this film. The end of the film itself is like offering two options:

Overall, this film is quite annoying. I myself have little sympathy with the ill-fated character of Isabelle. Mute and paralyzed, his parents did not give him the help he needed, instead placing him in his room for the rest of his life. There was no clear information whether Isabelle had attended school, could read and write or not, and whether she had been held in her attic from birth until the day she was killed in a heretical ritual carried out by her parents. Ann's own character is very confusing.

Ann could drive a car, but her style of dress was like a woman in Victorian times, and she also dressed Isabelle in a long white dress that looked ancient. Ann read the scriptures and prayed, but she also sacrificed Isabelle in the ritual. Either because Ann is so primitive or so stupid, he didn't take her to a special school but held him in the attic of his room. Instead of educating Isabelle so that she could exist even though she was mute and paralyzed, Ann killed her in ritual?

Helen Keller is dumb, blind, and deaf at the same time, and even when she was a child she was very angry with frustration with her condition, but with the education of her teachers, she became one of the most inspiring women who ever lived in this world. Isabelle was just mute and paralyzed. He is not blind and deaf.

Why doesn't Ann give him good books that encourage him instead of all day stalking people from his bedroom window? Why didn't Ann give him a radio or LP so she could be entertained? Even if Isabelle can't dance because she is paralyzed, at least she can clap her hands or shake her head. Why did Ann put Isabelle in the attic? Why not bring it to bask in the yard and breathe in the scent of flowers? Not enough to keep it for more than twenty years, he must kill Isabelle too in a heretical ritual? No wonder Isabelle was so angry.

Even so, if you want to possess the human body, rather than Larissa, Isabelle should have possessed her mother alone. After all, his mother owed him because he had killed him. Rather than scary, this film is actually annoying. The only thing that makes the audience goosebumps is the arrangement of the music.

So, is Isabelle evil? In my opinion, Ann donation far eviler. Whether it's evil because of being backward thinking or because of being stupid, it's still the most annoying character in this film. Fortunately, this annoyance was slightly dampened by Adam Brody's acting. For those who are familiar with the OC series, they must be unfamiliar with Brody's acting as Seth Cohen. In this film, Brody's transformation from a teenage character in The OC becomes a grown man as Matt Kane.

    2. The whole movie starting after she hemorrhages until a shot is fired takes place while she's dead for that one minute. That was her "hell." It didn't happen.
