Jessica Rothe and Israel Broussard will again play Theresa "Tree" Gelbman and Carter Davis in this sequel. Made by the same director as the first film, this film will tell the continuation of the death of the Tree on Happy Death Day.

Plot Summary:

One day, Tree Gelbman was killed on his birthday. Death brings the Tree into a circle of time. Instead of dying, Tree actually wakes up from sleeping on his birthday and all the events happen again from the beginning.

From here, the way to do it is to find out who the killer is. He had to repeat the incident several times he was killed until he found the killer.

Two years after the murder, Tree slipped back into a more terrible circle of time. This time, Tree saw that his friends were involved in his murder.

Tree discovers that Lori Spengler, the original murderer, has been killed. Surprisingly, Tree must face a new killer who is now hunting down his friends. He must reveal the identity of the killer to free himself from the circle of time. If it fails? He will be trapped in this circle forever.

Then, who is the new killer faced by Tree Gelbman? Can Tree finally escape the time circle that traps it?
